Betrayed on My Wedding Night
Chapter 1
On my wedding night, my husband, Zayn Lloyd, chose to sleep with his mistress on our wedding bed.
I received a video, which showed that Zayn had lavished a fortune to spend the night with his secretary.
Someone was booing. "It's a showdown: his secretary's first night versus his wife's wedding night. Place your bets, guys—who's Zayn gonna choose tonight? No refunds!"
Through the noise, Zayn's voice came through clearly.
"I choose the first night!
"Eleanor is nice, but I've been with her too many times. I'm tired of it.
"She's not like Natalie, who's still untouched."
I sneered and pulled out the divorce papers Zayn once signed to prove his commitment when he proposed. I signed my name on it.
A marriage won after 99 proposals collapsed on day one.

Later, while I was at the hospital reviewing the divorce contract, Zayn called me.
"Honey, I just bumped into a fortune teller.
"He told me I shouldn't see you on our wedding night, shouldn't go home, and shouldn't touch any woman—or I'll lose everything and never have kids."
I chuckled dryly, eyes settling on the words "leaving with nothing" on the contract.
He would indeed lose everything.
Zayn thought I laughed at his childishness and chuckled as well. "It's ridiculous, right? I think the same.
"But maybe we should believe it. We've got a long future ahead, so skipping tonight doesn't matter."
I felt a stabbing pain in my chest, but I tried to stay calm. "But I'm all alone. I feel scared."
He laughed indulgently. "Silly girl. I'd never leave you alone.
"I got two suites at the InterContinental Hotel. Yours and mine are side by side, so it'll feel like we're spending our wedding night together.
"I even took supplements all day to get ready for tomorrow."
Usually, I would've been delighted at his flirtatious words.
But now, it only made my stomach twist.
I took a long breath and forced my tears down. "Alright."
When I reached the hotel, I asked a staff member to send the special pajamas I'd picked for our wedding night to Zayn's room.
I left him a note. "Hubby, I'm waiting for you to help me put this on."
He replied with a smiley emoji, saying he couldn't sleep.
But just minutes later, the surveillance footage on my phone told a different story.
"Natalie, why are you wearing Eleanor's clothes?"
Natalie Garcia looked down shyly. "I heard it makes things more exciting. Don't you like it, Mr. Lloyd?"
Zayn swallowed hard when she held petals in her mouth and kissed him.
He didn't hold back either, his voice rough. "Natalie, call me Zayn."
I tortured myself by watching the two get close until my body went stiff. Eventually, I couldn't take it anymore and threw it up beside the trash can.
It wasn't until I'd thrown up eight times that they finally stopped.
When Zayn came out of the bathroom, Natalie hugged him from behind.
He turned to face her, held her gently, and tapped her nose playfully.
She seemed encouraged and hugged his neck.
Zayn gave her a teasing grin. "Still not enough for you?
"Why is it that most girls say their first time hurts too much to sleep, but you don't seem to be done?"
Natalie panicked for a second. But when she looked at him again, her eyes were red.
"Zayn, I'm also hurting. You're just too good at this."
Zayn was amused. "You think I'm that great? Well, you'll have to wait a bit. I'm going to find my wife."
Tears ran down Natalie's cheeks. "I know my place, Zayn. I'm fine with it.
"After today, I'll leave your life for good..."
Before she could finish, he pulled her into a hard kiss, cutting her off.
"You belong to me. Don't think you can walk away without my permission."
I smiled bitterly. He had once said those same words to me back when we first slept together.
But I was never the only woman in his world.
I watched them lose themselves in each other again.
At the peak of their passion, I pressed the doorbell to his room.
Seeing them suddenly stop, I felt like crying.
I used to avoid love because of my parents' failed marriage. I didn't want to become like my mother, who went crazy after finding out about my father's constant affairs.
But Zayn slowly broke through my walls with fresh flowers each day, sycamore trees he planted across the city, weekly fireworks, the way he held my hand during the earthquake, and 99 heartfelt proposals. So, I happily married him.
Yet he was the one who made me face the life I hated the most—on the very first day we were married.
Chapter 2
A few minutes later, the door finally opened.
Zayn apologized, "Eleanor, I was just in a video meeting."
He motioned toward Natalie behind him. "This is the new secretary from HR, Natalie. She came by to drop off a laptop.
"Natalie, meet my wife."
He acted so naturally that anyone might've believed they were just working together.
Natalie stepped forward, trying to shake my hand. Her eyes were filled with resentment. "Mrs. Lloyd, you're stunning. No wonder you can marry Mr. Lloyd."
I didn't respond. My eyes stayed on the red mark on her collarbone.
Natalie smiled and touched her face. "I must look awful. My boyfriend kept me up all night—he's just that energetic. Sorry, you had to see me like this.
"I'm different from you. You're still glowing after your wedding night. I'm honestly jealous."
Her mockery felt like knives, cutting deep into my heart.
Zayn's expression shifted. He looked at Natalie gloomily. "Natalie, watch your words."
Then, he pulled me close and explained gently, "She's new here. She spent some time abroad, so she's a bit unfiltered. Don't take it seriously.
"Don't let someone irrelevant upset you."
Zayn drank the supplement on the table and led me to the suite next door.
As soon as we got inside, he started undoing my clothes. I suppressed my nausea and turned away, pulling my collar up.
"Not this month," I said. "I'm pregnant. I just found out."
I lied about it, just hoping he'd stop touching me during the divorce cooling-off period.
At first, Zayn looked shocked. Then, I saw him quietly let out a breath of relief.
It wasn't until later that he finally realized what I had said. He lifted me and spun me around, tears in his eyes.
"I'm going to be a dad! You're amazing, Eleanor. I'll make sure our baby grows up the happiest in the world!"
He carefully took me home and made tonic soup himself. He followed a pregnancy meal plan and spent the entire morning cooking a healthy lunch for me.
He even told his assistant not to disturb him with anything and said he would give me all his time.
When I looked at him, every little thing he did made it seem like he loved me deeply.
For a moment, I even wondered if what had happened last night was just a nightmare.
But the videos on my phone said otherwise, destroying any hope I had left.
I didn't know how long I had been asleep before I woke up. The only person in the room was the maid.
"Madam Lloyd asked Mr. Lloyd to return to the Lloyd's residence. He said he'd come back soon."
My mother-in-law, who had always looked down on me, called me for the first time.
"I told Zayn to bring you the Heart of Eternity. That emerald set is a blessing for you and the baby."
When Zayn came back, he held a jewelry box and proudly told me it was the Lloyd family's heirloom.
"In our family, this jewelry set means more than a marriage certificate.
"Giving it to you means my whole family, including my mother, accepts you as my wife."
I sneered inwardly. "I didn't even want you anymore. Why would I care about your family's approval?"
I told him I felt sleepy and locked the jewelry box in the safe without opening it.
The next day, after he went to work, my best friend, Cecilia Anderson, sent me a draft of a news article.
The headline said Zayn's secret wife might have been exposed.
A reporter had spotted Zayn with a woman, meeting her parents yesterday afternoon. She wore the Heart of Eternity, the Lloyd family's heirloom.
The photo showed him holding hands with Natalie as they entered a private club.
No wonder it took him eight hours to get to Lloyd's residence, a trip that should've taken just half an hour.
I took the Heart of Eternity from the box inside the safe, put it in a plastic bag, and brought it to a jewelry appraisal center.
"Miss, while your jewelry is nice, it's nothing like the real Heart of Eternity. To be honest, this one is a replica."
I had already suspected it, but hearing the truth out loud still sent a chill down me.
Zayn had chosen to give the real heirloom—something he claimed was more meaningful than marriage—to someone else.
Cecilia called me and said, "The photo came from my team. I've blocked the story for now, but I need your permission to publish it.
"Zayn seems to care about you. You just got married two days ago. He couldn't have..."
My hand trembled as I held the phone. I cut her off. "Cecilia, he did.
"I'm getting a divorce. Can you keep this a secret for a few more days? I don't want him to find out yet."
"Alright."
Chapter 3
After leaving the appraisal center, I wandered the streets without a destination.
As I stepped onto the crosswalk, a car suddenly rushed toward me and came to a halt just a few centimeters away.
Even though it didn't hit me, I still fell heavily due to inertia.
My elbow throbbed with pain, and I could feel something warm leaking from my lower body.
Natalie stepped out of the car. When she saw me like that, she smiled faintly.
"Mrs. Lloyd, I'm so sorry. Did I scare you? Let me drive you to the hospital."
At the hospital, the doctor looked at me with regret. "The impact was too strong. We couldn't save the baby."
I lay on the hospital bed, my mind blank. I hadn't even known I was truly pregnant.
Before I could feel any happiness or sorrow, the baby was already gone.
Zayn rushed in and wrapped me in his arms, his face full of pain. He cried even harder than I did.
"Eleanor, please don't scare me. Say something, anything."
I looked up at him and said, "I'm going to press charges against Natalie. She has to face the law."
He stiffened, but he quickly adjusted his mood.
"Eleanor, this was a sad accident.
"But Natalie was only doing what I asked to deliver the contract within 15 minutes.
"If she gets sued for that, it'll break everyone's spirit."
I stared at him resentfully, but he kept talking.
"We're still young. We'll have more chances to be parents. If she ends up with a criminal record, it'll follow her forever.
"How about this? I'll deduct half a year from her salary. That's a serious punishment for her.
"Eleanor, just forgive her. Do it for our baby, so his soul can find peace."
I curled my fingers tightly, the sorrow cutting deep. He was using our lost child to manipulate me.
I said nothing, only wishing time would pass quicker.
Right then, Bethany walked in and slapped me without a word.
"Zayn, someone like her doesn't belong in our family. She caused my grandson's death! I won't accept her anymore!
"You must divorce her tomorrow!"
Zayn shielded me from her anger.
"Mom, Eleanor is the only woman I'll ever marry. If you force me to divorce her, I'll end my life.
"The baby is gone, and no one is more heartbroken than Eleanor. I won't let anyone hurt her again, not even you."
His words were full of love and protection.
But not once did he say that Natalie's reckless driving led to my miscarriage.
Zayn arranged a whole hospital floor for me and made Natalie stay to look after me as punishment.
She sat by my bedside, her smugness obvious.
"See? He doesn't love you that much.
"We've gone through three boxes of strawberry condoms on your wedding night, in his office two days ago, in the car yesterday, and even in the last ward today."
When I didn't react, she pushed harder.
"I drove fast on purpose. I wanted to see who meant more to Zayn—me or your baby.
"He told me that since I killed his child, I have to give him a new one. Do you like a boy or a girl?
"He fined me 80,000 yesterday but then gave me 1.5 million.
"Face it—you always lose."
As Zayn walked toward us, I quietly lowered my hand.
I kept reminding myself that it wasn't the right time to lash out.
"So what? I'm still his wife."
Natalie's face twisted with anger. "Not for much longer!"
I chuckled. She was right. I wouldn't be his wife much longer.
