Chapter 1
After five years of marriage, something happened to my husband's beloved crush.
Zayden Ferguson tossed the divorce papers at me.
"Sign them, Jazlyn. You can keep living in the house and be my lover.
"Don't bring trouble to my Winnie Lloyd. She tolerates zero flaws."
He couldn't stand seeing his beloved crush struggle after her fiancé went broke. So he made her an offer: break off the engagement, marry him instead, and he'd give her half the Ferguson fortune.
But the next day, that same "bankrupt" fiancé showed up at my door with a fortune worth tens of billions.
He said, "Ms. Schmidt, you won't let Zayden off easy, will you? He stole my fiancée, so I'm taking his wife."
I smiled and immediately nodded. "Sure. Let's hold our wedding on the same day as theirs."
Liam Hamilton raised an eyebrow, clearly surprised I agreed so quickly. "You'd better not back out. I'll be waiting to marry you."
He left me a pile of jewelry and a check worth millions. The gift was shockingly generous.
Soon after Liam left, Zayden barged in, furious.
I sneered, "Mr. Ferguson, didn't you have plans with your precious Winnie today? How come you had time to stop by my place?"
Zayden froze, but he still shamelessly said, "Jazlyn, don't let your personal feelings affect your work. Winnie was raised delicately and can't endure hardship. I can't stand by and watch her marry that bankrupt Liam. It would ruin her."
"So you've decided to rescue her yourself? What a hero." I laughed.
Once I signed those divorce papers, I cut all ties with him.
"Please leave, Mr. Ferguson. Since we've divorced, I'll also be handing in my resignation."
Zayden frowned and tried to grab my arm. "Stop overreacting. Even if I marry Winnie, nothing has to change between us. As long as we don't cause her stress, things can go on like before."
Five years ago, he accidentally fell off a cliff. I was the one who found him while I was out looking for inspiration in the mountains.
I spent everything I had on his treatment. I juggled three jobs just to pay for his recovery.
Later, when his bankrupt rival tried to kill him in an underground parking lot, I stepped in and took the hit. The 30-centimeter scar on my back was a reminder of that day.
"Zayden, I don't owe you anything. What makes you think I'd ever agree to become your mistress?"
His face darkened when I kept turning him down. "We signed a prenup. You won't get a cent. Your parents are gone, and you don't have any siblings. Where will you go without me?"
After saying that, he slammed the door on his way out.
A wave of sadness hit me. I remembered how, before we married, I had no plans to join a wealthy family. But he dropped to his knees in front of my parents' graves, crying and promising to take care of me forever.
Now, he probably wished he'd married Winnie from the start and saw me as an obstacle.
If I'd known about his deep feelings for his beloved crush, I never would've stayed.
I had also hoped to find someone I could trust, but I forgot that Winnie was only engaged. If she could break it off, why couldn't we get divorced?

Liam seemed serious about our deal. He poured a huge sum into the wedding plans alone.
He even brought a lawyer to my place and gave me two office buildings downtown, along with ten million in cash as a wedding gift. He registered them as my premarital assets.
I wasn't sure whether marrying him was the right move. But when I saw the legal balance in my account, it felt like a smart choice.
I still didn't get why people thought he was broke. If not for that, Winnie probably wouldn't have dumped him to be with Zayden.
Chapter 2
I wasn't sure how Zayden found out that Liam and I had gone to order a wedding dress together.
When I showed up at the company to finish my handover two days later, someone called me to the office.
Perhaps Zayden had misunderstood something. He showed a smug look as if he'd caught me red-handed.
Winnie stood beside him, smiling sweetly, though her eyes brimmed with malice. "Sis, I planned to tell you in two days, but you seem so desperate you couldn't wait to choose a dress alone."
"Don't call me that, Ms. Lloyd. My mom never gave birth to another daughter."
Right then, Zayden stepped forward, grinning. "Come on, Jazlyn. I knew you didn't mean what you said that day. Winnie and I talked it over. We've been together for five years. Regardless of whether we're divorced, nothing changes. I'll be yours on odd days and hers on even days."
Winnie chimed in, "That's right, Jazlyn. After Zayden and I are married, you can have a ceremony with him without guests. We'll all be a family."
Listening to their words, I seriously wondered if I'd misheard.
I froze when Zayden reached for my hand. I dodged it and snapped, "Don't tell me money can't fix your mental issues?"
His expression darkened, while Winnie kept calm and came over to grab me. "You're different from what I imagined—but only the real Mrs. Ferguson can greet guests at the wedding, so you'll have to settle for less."
I pushed her hand off. "First off, bigamy is illegal. Second, I don't like sharing a bed with anyone."
Even though I barely touched her, Winnie lost her balance and fell onto the soft carpet.
Tears welled in her eyes as she sat there. "I'm sorry. I just want us to get along."
"Enough!" Zayden bent down and helped her into a chair.
"Forget it, Winnie. Since she doesn't appreciate what she has, we'll see how far she gets without support."
Then, he called and asked his assistant to throw me out of the company.
Winnie glanced at me with a smug grin.
It reminded me of the first time I saw her—back when she was still Liam's fiancée.
At a party, she hesitated to stay close to Zayden. But after leaving the private room, I overheard her on the phone, cursing him for being useless and still clinging to her.
Back then, I thought Zayden's crush on her was just a sad, one-sided obsession. I didn't expect a sequel.

The day before the wedding was the Ferguson Group's quarterly shareholder meeting. I had to attend before selling off my shares.
When I walked into the conference room, a few tough shareholders began grilling me about my latest projects.
After I finally got away from them, a familiar voice called out behind me. "Jazlyn? What are you doing here?"
Zayden entered with Winnie, who trotted over in a formal business suit.
"We should talk about it somewhere else. This isn't the right place. Come with me," she said.
I stepped back, worried I might knock her over again. "Ms. Lloyd, I'm here for the meeting. I heard you were dropped into the vice CEO spot. Can you be more professional?"
Facing the inquiring gazes in the room, Zayden stepped forward and pulled Winnie close. "Jazlyn, Grandpa only gave those 10% shares to his granddaughter-in-law. Winnie is my wife now. Hand them over!"
Chapter 3
I was both mad and a little amused by how shameless he was. How could he say that?
Before I could respond, an unfamiliar man walked up to me with some documents.
"Ms. Schmidt, here's the agreement for the 20% shares in the Ferguson Group. You now hold 30%, making you the second-largest shareholder after Sir Ferguson."
I was a bit shocked but quickly understood. Zayden had taken Liam's fiancée, so Liam hitting him where it hurt made sense.
Zayden wrapped his arm around Winnie, both of them wearing mocking smiles. She said, "Jazlyn, I know you don't want to let Zayden go. But there's no need to hire someone to tell a big lie."
He added in a smug tone, "If you're willing, we can still go back to how things were."
I sneered and held the document up. "Can't you two read? Look at the official stamp! Don't be so shameless!
"Zayden, don't forget—your grandpa gave me those 10% shares because I once saved your life. And when the company was struggling in my second year, I landed a deal with the Hamilton family that kept things afloat.
"Those shares are rightfully mine. You have no claim to them."
Winnie stepped forward from Zayden's embrace, lifting her chin. "You wouldn't even be in the company if you hadn't married Zayden. Why else would Sir Ferguson give shares to an outsider like you?"
I took a step back and ignored her. "Zayden, if you're after the shares, tell your grandpa to come and talk to me himself."
With that, I turned around and walked off, not interested in wasting another second on them.

The next morning, Liam woke me early and called in a team to do my wedding makeup.
As I stood in front of the mirror, dressed in white, it finally hit me that I was about to marry someone I barely knew.
My parents passed away years ago. I'd spent five years with Zayden, yet I didn't even own a house.
I took a deep breath. Since I had made the decision, I had to face whatever happened next.
As I arrived at the wedding hall, I saw the groom standing by the entrance, looking confused.
I knew Zayden's wedding was happening today, but why was he holding my bouquet in front of my hall?
Before I could ask, he noticed me walking in my wedding dress. His face darkened. "Jazlyn, why are you here? The guests are already seated. The bride they're congratulating is Winnie, not you."
His rebuke angered me. "Zayden, we're divorced. There's no going back for us. Got it?"
Zayden sneered disdainfully. "Stop pretending to be hard to get. Winnie said you could have Sundays. Just behave for now—we'll give you a ceremony later."
I was speechless and scoffed. Sundays? That was something they decided themselves. I never agreed to that.
Just then, music started playing inside the hall, catching Zayden off guard.
"Hey, who told you to start the music? The bride isn't even here yet!"
"I did."
As the words fell, Liam walked toward me from the side door.
He glanced at the bouquet in Zayden's hands, raised an eyebrow, and reached for it.
"Mr. Ferguson, I didn't expect to see you here. Trying to crash my wedding and take my bride?"
Zayden tightened his grip on the bouquet and glared at me. "So this is why you wouldn't give the shares back? Did you sell them to support this broke pretty boy? When did you two get together?"
Liam's smile widened. "Don't confuse us with what you and Mrs. Ferguson did." Then, he stepped forward and firmly planted his foot on Zayden's.
Zayden winced, pulled back, and let go of the bouquet.
"I fell for Jazlyn the first time I met her—and again when fate brought her back to me. Of course, I don't have your kind of experience, getting close to Mrs. Ferguson so early on."
Liam still acted like a gentleman. With a soft smile, he took my hand and placed the bouquet in it. "Honey, these flowers are adorned with 99 Australian pearls. Hold on to them tight—don't be like those who grab fool's gold and miss the real treasure."
Just as Zayden seemed ready to forget his pride and grab me, a hotel staff member rushed over, out of breath.
"I'm so sorry, Mr. Ferguson. I took a wrong turn. Your ceremony is on the floor below."
"Scram!" Zayden snapped, his face twisting as he finally realized my wedding to Liam wasn't a joke.
Even the rumors about Liam being broke might have been false.
He instantly turned pale and tried to push past Liam, but Liam shoved him down with ease. "It's no fun if you keep causing trouble, Mr. Ferguson. Stay away from my wife."
"Jazlyn is my wife!" Zayden shouted.
Liam scoffed. "Not anymore."
